The Konfer icon

Konfer

Loot distribution for World of Warcraft.

Konfer is five loot systems in one mod. Suicide Kings, EP/GP, DKP, Loot Council and PUG all live in the same window and work the same way, so a raid that changes how it hands out loot does not have to change its addon. Which system runs your loot is always your choice, and you can switch whenever you like without losing a thing.

Konfer comes as three addons, KahLua, Kore and Konfer itself. Install all three, then type /konfer in game to choose a system and set it up.

One window

Every system shares the same pages for the raid, the loot, the lists, the people and the settings. Learn one and you know them all.

Shared with the guild

An administrator broadcasts a configuration to the guild and co-admins keep it in step, so everybody sees the same lists and the same history.

Knows your people

Every character Konfer has met, with their class, professions and alts. Your own notes and ratings on a player never leave your computer.

Every kind of loot

Main spec, off spec, transmog and vanity, whether your raid bids on items or rolls for them.

A record of every award

Konfer keeps the history of who won what and when.

Several configurations

Keep one for the guild's main raid, another for an alt run and a third for a pickup group, each with its own lists and its own rules.

The loot systems

Each system has its own slash command. Pick the one that suits your group.

Suicide Kings

/ksk

Considered by many to be the quickest way to gear a group of people, Suicide Kings is a simple list position system. No currency, no bids, just your position on the list. When an item drops, people higher on the list than you have priority. As they are awarded loot, they drop to the bottom, pushing everyone else up. Eventually everybody has a shot at the top. The more loot, the quicker that happens.

This is the mod that started it all for Konfer, and has been around since the original TBC days.

EP/GP

/keg

The loot system for mathematicians. Very fair and balanced, with no currency to spend or barter, your position on the list is entirely based on how much effort (effort points, or EP) versus how much gear (gear points) you have received. Effort is awarded according to your own rules and includes killing a boss, wiping on a boss, being on time, staying till the end of the raid, and so on.

Powerful, easy. My personal favourite.

DKP

/kdkp

The original loot system, dragon kill points. Doing things like killing a boss earns you points, which you get to spend on loot you want. Konfer supports simple cost based DKP, bidding DKP, silent bids and zero-sum DKP. Many options.

If you've never used DKP, that's 50 DKP minus for you!

Loot Council

/klc

Not really a loot system but rather a set of tools to help raid leaders decide who gets what. All decisions are made by a group of players. The mod simply helps them reach a decision by comparing what's dropped to what a raider has, how much loot they have received, how helpful they are, and so on.

In the end it boils down to a vote, where the council votes on the recipient and reports the result. Popular among high end guilds but a lot of work.

PUG

/kpug

Tools for pickup groups. Systems supported:

  • Classic rolls
  • Decay rolls
  • +1 rolls
  • softres.it soft and hard reserves

Simple user management and ratings, so you remember who was worth grouping with.
